Research in the media

Most of the investigations carried out by Integis BV are confidential, which means we cannot mention them by name. However, some of our investigations and/or study results do become public. The following selection of items that have appeared in the Dutch press will give you an impression of the services we provide and of our researchers.

  • In 2017 and 2018, Ilse Blok and Paul Koedijk of Integis participated in the team of the Sorgdrager Commission that investigated the incident with fipronil in eggs in 2017. The letter of submission from the Ministers for Medical Care and Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality to the House of Representatives and the report you may find here (in Dutch).
  • In 2018 Integis sent to the Executive Board of Woningstichting De Voorzorg its findings based on an investigation of the allocation of homes during the years 2013 up to and including 2016. News reported by De Voorzorg about this investigation can be found here .
  • In 2018 the municipality of Vlaardingen commissioned Integis to investigate contributions made by an entrepreneur for activities organised by the local political party “ONS.Vlaardingen”, about which various media had reported.
  • Since 2017 Integis has been conducting research into the employment conditions and legal status regulations at the Amsterdam-Amstelland Fire Brigade, on behalf of the chairman of the Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region.
  • In 2017 Integis was commissioned by the mayor of the municipality of Zandvoort to investigate  possible influence exerted on the decision-making of the alderman involved in the Watertorenplein project. The investigation report, issued on 29 November 2017 can be found here (in Dutch).
  • In 2017 Integis was commissioned by the Supervisory Board of Woningstichting Beter Wonen Vechtdal to conduct research into the business management of Beter Wonen Vechtdal on indication of the Autoriteit woningcorporaties.
  • In 2017 Integis contributed to activities of the Police Central Works Council Committee of Inquiry. The tender letter from Minister Blok to the Lower House and the report can be found here (in Dutch).
  • In response to media reports,Integis was commissioned in 2016 by the interim executive director of the Daelzicht Foundation to investigate fourteen different matters.
  • The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, together with the ROC Leiden Accommodation Investigative Committee, commissioned Integis in 2016 and 2015 respectively to investigate the accuracy and the completeness of the sums invoiced by and/or paid to advisers in connection with the Lammenschans new housing project. The committee’s report ‘Ambition derailed’, was handed over on 1 December 2015 to the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.   • In 2016 Integis was commissioned by De Stadkamer in Zwolle to investigate the causes and background of the debt of its legal predecessor ‘the Muzerie’. Reports on this matter can be found here (in Dutch).
  • In September 2015 the sub-district court of the District Court of Rotterdam appointed Bart Bruin RA as court expert witness in a case involving Badhotel Rockanje aan Zee. The publication about the matter in De Accountant can be found here.
  • The Executive Board of the KNVB [Dutch national Football Federation] commissioned Integis to investigate the (out-going) cash flows of the World Cup Candidacy Foundation 2018. The KNVB press release can be found here.
  • Commissioned by the Social Insurance Bank (SVB), Integis investigated the bases for the cash/flows and/or value-transfers in kind between on the one hand Capgemini BV Nederland and partners, and on the other hand two natural persons and/or legal persons/enterprises that are connected with them. The letter to Parliament in which State Secretary Klijnsma (Social Affairs and Employment) informed the Lower House can be found here.
  • The licensing committee of the KNVB commissioned Integis to investigate the accuracy and completeness of the legal structures presented by Vitesse [Dutch football club]. The KNVB press release can be found here.
  • Integis was commissioned by the province of Limburg to carry out an investigation that focused on answering specific questions relating to the administrative organisational system for making use of provincial facilities. This was in response to an article in the NRC Handelsblad (Dutch national newspaper) about the expense claims of former member of the Provincial Executive, M.L. Verheijen. The report resulting from the investigation can be found here.
  • The Executive Board of the association Cliëntenbelang Amsterdam commissioned Integis to carry out an investigation into possible irregularities. Based on this investigation, the association drew up a press report that can be found here (in Dutch).
  • In 2014 housing corporation Havensteder commissioned Integis to carry out an investigation in response to statements made during the public interrogations of the parliamentary inquiry into housing corporations.
  • In 2014 Integis carried out an investigation into suspected irregularities connected with ICT-expenditure on the part of OCK Het Spalier.
  • In 2014 Integis assisted Rekenkamer Zeeland (Audit Office) in its investigation into participations in which the province of Zeeland has an interest. This report can be found here (in Dutch).
  • In 2014, Integis’s Paul Koedijk assisted the committee of inquiry initiated by Minister Schippers of VWS (Pubic Health, Welfare and sport) into the internal functioning of the Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit (NZa, Dutch Healthcare Authority).
  • Integis was commissioned by Province Noord-Holland to carry out a forensic audit in relation to former member of the Provincial Executive, A. Moens. The Provincial Executive sent a letter to the Provincial States of Noord-Holland, informing them about the results of the audit. You will find that letter enclosed (in Dutch).
  • In 2013 Integis carried out an integrity investigation in response to irregularities within SNS Property Finance. This received extensive media coverage.
  • Integis was commissioned by the executive board of Stichting Straatnieuws Utrecht (SSU) to carry out an investigation aimed at establishing the amount that the former SSU treasurer should repay. One of the newspapers that covered this was the Algemeen Dagblad; their press release on the matter is enclosed (in Dutch).
  • Housing corporation Vestia commissioned Integis to carry out a forensic investigation of, inter alia, the course of events surrounding the employment conditions of former Vestia executive director, Mr. Staal.
  • In 2012 and 2013 Integis carried out a (forensic) investigation after being commissioned by interim executive director of housing corporation Laurentius. As indicated in the annual report (in Dutch) of Laurentius, this investigation was carried out in collaboration with Bovenschen Consultancy BV.
  • On 14 February 2013, the ‘Committee investigating financial problems of Amarantis’ presented its report ‘Follow-up investigation of Amarantis’. Integis contributed towards this investigation.
  • In 2012 Integis was commissioned by Wonen Zuid to carry out an integrity investigation. On the website of Wonen Zuid you will find this message (in Dutch).
  • In 2011 and 2012 the General Director of the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) and the chairman of CBR’s Works Council commissioned Integis to carry out an investigation into the basis for the flow of (incoming and outgoing) funds of CBR’s Supplementary Fund [Stichting Toeslagfonds] as well as into persons and parties involved.   • At the start of 2012 Paul Koedijk of Integis participated in the team that carried out a historical investigation on behalf of the Samson Committee into the sexual abuse of minors who had been placed under the supervision of government organisations or in foster families.
  • Between September 2010 and the end of 2011, Integis assisted, in the person of Paul Koedijk, in the investigation of the Deetman Committee into the sexual abuse of minors within the Roman Catholic church. He was responsible for coordinating and planning the investigation into the archives.Link to the Deetman Committee.
  • For the province of Limburg Integis BV carried out an investigation into coping with criticism surrounding the Process Automation project and assignments.
  • In 2010 Integis BV was commissioned by the Supervisory Board of the housing corporation Huis & Erf in Schijndel to carry out an investigation of the housing corporation. Link to the article (in Dutch) of the Brabants Dagblad (Brabant Daily).
  • In 2009 Integis BV carried out an investigation into reports relating to suspected violation of integrity on the part of the housing corporation Wonen Zuid. Read more in the annual report of Wonen Zuid.
  • Kafi Integrity BV collaborated with Integis BV in investigating, on behalf of the (support for the) committee of inquiry of the municipality of Nijmegen relating to how the municipality supervised and managed the NV Mensec. The research report was published on 27 November 2009. The report you may find on the website of the municipality of Nijmegen (in Dutch).
  • In 2009 Integis BV, together with Kafi Integrity BV, supported the auditing committee of Wassenaar, Voorschoten and Oegstgeest during an investigation into overspending on the De Traverse project. Link to the acceptance speech of mayor Staatsen (in Dutch).
  • In 2009, together with Integis BV, Kafi Integrity BV carried out an investigation on behalf of (support for) the committee of inquiry of the municipality of Tilburg in relation to overspending on the renovation of the Midi-theatre.   • In 2008 Integis BV was commissioned by the Dutch Smoking Tobacco Association to draw up the report ‘Illegal trade in shag and cigarettes. The Netherlands as criminal growth market’.The report you may find here (in Dutch).
  • In 2008 Integis BV carried out an investigation, requested by the Friends of Rita Verdonk Foundation (Proud of the Netherlands, Dutch political party) into, among other things, the bases for certain money flows. You may check the following link (in Dutch): Article in Het Parool.
  • In 2008 Integis BV was commissioned by Stibbe BV, representing Chios Real Estate Properties BV, which is the investment vehicle of J.A. van den Ende, to investigate matters within the framework of the so-called real estate fraud on the southern axis of Amsterdam (the Zuidas).
  • In 2007 and 2008, in collaboration with Kafi Integrity BV, Integis BV investigated the municipality of Vlissingen. The report was published on 18 February 2008.
